Now that PokEdit v2 has finally launched, we're going to start working on some new and improved Editor features. As of now, you can edit and download any single PKM file from the editor. But, we can do better than that. Here some new features that we plan on rolling out in the next couple of months. They'll probably be released in chronological order, but no guarantees on that.
1. Upload PKM
We're really close to adding PKM upload support. I know the button is already there, but it doesn't work yet :( This will be one of the first new additions to the editor. It should come in handy if you want to add one of your own PKMs to a file or add an event Pokemon that we don't currently have in the Event PKM Database.
2. Full Box Download / All Box Download
Downloading 1 PKM isn't enough. We'll be adding full box PKM download support and all Box PKM download support as soon as possible. This will make it much easier to import mass amounts of PKMs to save files you have on your computer. You'll just have to load them into the save file using PokeSav for now (but not for long hopefully).
3. Upload/Download Save File
The next stage of evolution for the Editor is having full save file support. We'll be starting with the Box Storage and the Trainer Data and then just working our way to add more bits and pieces from there. File upload and download support will probably roll out about the same time. That means you'll be able to upload your own files from your Pokemon games and add Pokemon, Batch Edit, Change Trainer information, or whatever else you might want to do with them. You can then download them and pop'em right back on your game cart.
4. GTS Transfer
This feature is going to be a little technical, but basically, it will allow you to transfer single Pokemon to and from your retail cart without having to dump your save file off of the cart. Should come in pretty hand I think.
5. PKM Transfer Tool
This will probably the coolest feature that our Editor will offer. It will allow you to easily transfer PKMs (Single or Batches) from one file to another. That will sure beat the old method of trading them one at a time or painstakingly transfering them out of PokeSav to another save file.
6. Mass PKM Storage
The plan with this functionality is to let you have a boat-load of PKM storage on our server. It will be like a virtual Pokemon Box where you can store tons of PKMs. You'll then be able to transfer them back and forth between different files if you want. Or just have back ups of your precious PKMs in case something happens to one of your save files.
Alright, so those are our big plans for the Editor this year. Let us know what you think about them. We'll be sure to make announcements as we roll'em out. If you can think of any other important features that you'd like to see us add then let us know!
